A new short film, “Vaseline Skin Stories,” finds while continents may divide, the experience of skin unites. The film, narrated by Tony Award-nominated actress Sanaa Lathan, premiered at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans on July 4. The 20-minute documentary, set against local, social and cultural backdrops, features personal narratives from across the world including the U.S., South America, the UK and Africa. Stories touch on the similarities and differences between people’s skin as it relates to their lives. More info: www.vaseline.com
