A new short film, “Vaseline Skin Stories,” finds while continents may divide, the experience of skin unites. The film, narrated by Tony Award-nominated actress Sanaa Lathan, premiered at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans on July 4. The 20-minute documentary, set against local, social and cultural backdrops, features personal narratives from across the world including the U.S., South America, the UK and Africa.
