Alberto-Culver Sells Nordic Subsidiary

SWEDEN: Alberto-Culver has sold Cederroth International AB, its wholly owned subsidiary, to CapMan, a Nordic private equity firm. Cederroth, based in Stockholm, manufactures a diversified group of consumer products in the Nordic region and parts of Europe. Products include Grumme purpose cleaners, Result and Y3 washing detergent, Acta toothpaste, Jockey deodorant and L300 skin care.

“For Alberto-Culver, this transaction facilitates our ability to focus on growing our core beauty care brands Tresemme, Nexxus, Alberto VO5 and St. Ives,” said V. James Marino, Alberto-Culver’s president and chief executive officer.
