P&G has dispatched the Tide CleanStart Mobile Laundry truck to help those affected by the recent flooding in Iowa. Tide has partnered again with relief organization America’s Second Harvest to bring the Tide CleanStart truck to Waterloo, IA, located in Black Hawk County, where the flood recently destroyed thousands of homes, leaving many without shelter and basic needs like clean clothes. Affected families are able to drop off their laundry to be washed, dried and folded by the Tide CleanStart team, free of charge. The mobile laundry facility contains 32 energy-efficient Frigidaire Affinity washers and dryers and can do 300 wash and dry cycles a day.
The Tide CleanStart Mobile Laundry truck first helped Hurricane Katrina victims in 2005. The resilience and spirit of the people of New Orleans inspired Tide to expand the program and bring laundry service to southern California, helping families affected by the wildfires of October 2007. Collectively, Tide has washed more than 30,000 loads of laundry for New Orleans and southern California families. More info: tideloadsofhope.com
