Ajinomoto Names Yeboah Regional Sales Manager

Ajinomoto U.S.A., Inc.:

has hired Hubert Yeboah as West Coast and Southeast regional sales manager of the Ajinomoto Specialty Chemicals Division. Mr. Yeboah’s previous professional experience in the personal care industry includes formulation, product development and technical marketing at Wacker Chemical Corporation and Spatz Laboratories.

HBA Global Expo:

appointed Nadine Schwartz sales manager. Ms. Schwartz has more than 18 years of experience in the event marketing and management business. Prior to joining HBA, Ms. Schwartz was exhibit sales manager for the Craft & Hobby Association.

Pacific Bioscience Laboratories Inc.: 

announced the appointment of Jack Gallagher to the position of president. According to the company, Mr. Gallagher has a successful track record in consumer products, as highlighted by his role as president of Optiva Corporation/Philips Oral Healthcare from 1999-2002. He also spent more than 20 years with Johnson & Johnson in various sales, marketing and general management positions.

Croda:

announced the addition of Scott Cardinali as research manager, hair care applications. Mr. Cardinali recently worked for National Starch in the role of manager of its international technical service and technology screening activities. Prior to National Starch, he worked as a consultant for Kline & Company in the specialty chemical section and at Unilever as a principal chemist doing applied research in laundry applications. 
   
Croda also announced the addition of Fiona Lam to the position of marketing manager, international sales. She recently worked for Arch Personal Care as a senior marketing associate. Prior to that, she worked as a personal care technical service supervisor for National Starch and as a formulator/chemist, skin care for Unilever.


Empire Education Group:

has tapped Carl Bridges as chief academic officer and vice president of education. He previously held leadership roles as vice president of education, Lincoln Education Services; vice president of academic affairs, Career Education Corporation; dean of business programs, DeVry Institute of Technology; and director of student affairs, College of Business, Ohio University.

Symrise:

appointed Professor Xuemin Wang to the scientific advisory board. A Chinese dermatologist, Dr. Wang will be advising Symrise on the development of cosmetic agents for the Chinese market as well as conducting clinical tests on cosmetic agents in Shanghai.

Pravana Naturceuticals:

welcomed Bethany Kirschner as marketing manager. She will oversee the company’s promotional and corporate communications programs. Ms. Kirschner’s background includes promotions management with Mark Burnett in television promotions and working with her family’s business, The Kirschner Group, in beauty.


Firmenich International SA:

elected Barbara Kux and Olivier Bazil to its board. Ms. Kux has a broad international experience in general management, supply chain management, business development and marketing. She is currently a member of the group management committee at Royal Philips Electronics in The Netherlands. Mr. Bazil has spent his career with the French Group Legrand. He began in the finance department and moved up the ranks to become vice chairman and chief operating officer.

Information Resources, Inc. (IRI):

has named Bernhard Nann as executive vice president and general manager of technology. He comes to IRI from Fair Isaac, and will report directly to IRI’s president and chief executive officer, John Freeland.

Seppic:

announced an assortment of personnel changes. Darren Gilbert has joined the company as a senior account manager, handling selected key accounts and overseeing the distribution product businesses and distributor network. With 15 years experience specifically in the personal care industry, Mr. Gilbert had previously worked at Rahn USA, Tri-K, Lipo Chemicals and Ciba.
   
Kathleen Simmons is a new senior account manager covering the West Coast territory. Prior to this role, she has worked in sales, R&D and formulation at Ingredients International, Schwarzkorf, Dial Corporation and Soft Sheen Products.
   
Carla Perez has been appointed the personal care actives business manager for North America. With 10 years of service to Seppic in sales and R&D, she most recently has served as the actives area sales manager in Seppic  SA (Paris, France). Ms. Perez replaces Marie-Eve Koziol who has taken the role of the pharmaceutical/nutritional division manager.

LVMH:

has tapped Renaud Dutreil as chairman. He will represent the group in North America, notably to public authorities and business community. He will also be responsible for the group’s U.S. common departments.


Dow Biocides and Angus Chemical:

has appointed Dwayne J. Roark as business communications manager. He is based in Buffalo Grove, IL where he is responsible for creating and implementing all communications strategies with a primary focus on measurable marketing communications programs and executive counsel to help achieve company business goals. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Roark was senior marketing manager for Misumi USA, Inc.
