Cosmoprof NA Brings 25,000 to Las Vegas

September 11, 2008

Cosmoprof North America, held at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas July 13-15, featured 740 exhibiting companies (up from 700 in 2007) and attracted 25,000 attendees. As in years past, the event attracted many new and innovative brands in addition to industry leaders such as Conair, Creative Nail Design, Rusk, Tigi, Essie, L’Oréal Technique, Nioxin, Orly, Ahava, LPG, Alberto Culver and Schwarzkopf Henkel.

Cosmoprof North America dedicated special sections on the show floor to distinct international country pavilions, which allowed small- and medium-sized companies to obtain direct “face time” with distributors and retailers to secure U.S. distribution.

Discover Beauty, which was launched at the 2007 show, assisted newly-emerging brands in finding the proper market, while spotlighting the newest trends for influential retail buyers by offering one-on-one meetings between senior buyers from prestigious retailers that included Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, C.O. Bigelow, Macy’s, Fred Segal Studio, Pure Beauty, Beauty Collection, and Wynn Las Vegas Apothecary. In addition, the show featured Discover Beauty–Spa.

More than 600 people attended the special education seminars, which covered a range of subjects.

Cosmoprof North America 2009 is planned for July 19-21 at the Mandalay Convention Center in Las Vegas. More info: www.cosmoprofnorthamerica.com
