Schülke Inc. Expands Sales Staff with Two Appointments

Schülke Inc.:

Added two sales representatives. Ruth St. Usaire has been hired as key account manager. She joins Schülke with more than 13 years experience in the chemical and personal care industry, where she held positions both in sales and R&D. Danielle North has been appointed technical sales representative in the northeastern U.S. She is a recent graduate of Northwes-tern University.

BASF:

has appointed Michael Pcolinski, Ph.D., as director, inorganic chemicals, in North America. He will be based in Evans City, PA. Dr. Pcolinski joined BASF in 1992. Most recently, he served as business manager responsible for coil and extrusion coatings.

Jafra:

Announced two key personnel appointments designed to strengthen its U.S. division and worldwide brand integrity. Janice Jackson was named senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Jafra Worldwide. Connie Tang was named president, Jafra USA, where she is responsible for developing dynamic strategies, initiatives and objectives to create market growth in the U.S. general market and U.S.-based Hispanic market segments.

Power Paper Ltd:

Appointed Aviv Ben-Yacov as Americas director of sales. His responsibilities include developing strategic sales plans to drive profitable growth in Power Paper’s breakthrough micro-power system business.

Micro Powders:

Karen Brophy retired as controller, after 19 years.  She was instrumental in the computer automation of Micro Powders’ accounting functions as well as the general running of the main office and staff. Taking over Ms. Brophy’s functions will be Bill Paladino as controller and Toni-Raye (TR) Gizzo as office manager in addition to her role as marketing manager. Gary Strauss continues to oversee customer service.

Alcan Packaging Beauty:

Appointed Stéphane Tondenier as vice president, sales and marketing for fragrance and cosmetics.

Drom Fragrances:

Announced several appoints. Kim Berg is the new director of evaluation. She had been evaluation manager. Over her 12-year career in the fragrance industry, Ms. Berg has held evaluation positions at several companies. Judith Chan is the latest new member of Drom’s evaluation team. She joins Drom from Ungerer & Co. where she had worked for five years.
   
Thomas Hogan Jr. is a new perfumer on the personal care and home fragrance team. He has more than 30 years of experience as a perfumer at companies such as Flavor and Fragrance Specialties, Robertet, Ungerer and Givaudan.

DMI:

Expanded and improved its technical services department with the recent hiring of Douglas Melenkevitz, manufacturing and technical services manager; Christopher Gates, process engineer and Krystle Spinner, junior process development engineer.

E.L.F. Cosmetics:

Named Ted Rubin vice president of marketing and business development.

Ross Organic:

Hired Richard D. Hersey as director of sales. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Hersey was global account manager for Rohm & Haas, covering personal care, household industrial, floor care, water treatment and the paints & coatings biocides market segments. Stephanie Ross Leshney, formerly director of sales and marketing, has taken on a new role within the company as VP sales and marketing.
