has appointed Michael Pcolinski, Ph.D., as director, inorganic chemicals, in North America. He will be based in Evans City, PA. Dr. Pcolinski joined BASF in 1992. Most recently, he served as business manager responsible for coil and extrusion coatings.Jafra:

Micro Powders:
Karen Brophy retired as controller, after 19 years. She was instrumental in the computer automation of Micro Powders’ accounting functions as well as the general running of the main office and staff. Taking over Ms. Brophy’s functions will be Bill Paladino as controller and Toni-Raye (TR) Gizzo as office manager in addition to her role as marketing manager. Announced several appoints. Kim Berg is the new director of evaluation. She had been evaluation manager. Over her 12-year career in the fragrance industry, Ms. Berg has held evaluation positions at several companies. Judith Chan is the latest new member of Drom’s evaluation team. She joins Drom from Ungerer & Co. where she had worked for five years.Thomas Hogan Jr. is a new perfumer on the personal care and home fragrance team. He has more than 30 years of experience as a perfumer at companies such as Flavor and Fragrance Specialties, Robertet, Ungerer and Givaudan.
