Cleaning Composition Patented by Clorox
The Clorox Company has patented a process of cleaning a surface using a cleaning implement with a disposable substrate attached to a fitment and impregnated with a cleaning composition. The disposable substrate has a plastic rigid fitment that is attached to the cleaning implement. The cleaning composition is comprised of an alkyl sulfate surfactant; and 10-65% of sulfamic acid wherein the composition has a pH of 2.2 or less.

Hair Coloring Composition

KPSS-Kao Professional Salon Services GmbH, Darmstadt (Germany) has patented a process for coloring hair. The patent covers a composition comprised of at least one oxidation dye precursor and at least one acidic direct dye selected from acid red 52, acid violet 2, acid orange 4, acid red 27 and acid yellow 10, with the condition that it does not comprise cationic direct dye. That composition is then mixed with hydrogen peroxide. That mixture, which has a pH between 6.8-12, is applied to hair for 15-45 minutes at ambient temperature or a temperature between 30-45°C.
Dental-Stain Removing Chewing Gum

Cadbury Adams USA LLC, Parsippany, NJ, has patented a stain-removing chewing gum. It is comprised of the gum base, a chelating agent and a surfactant. The surfactant is comprised of a stain-removing effective amount of a salt of ricinoleic acid and a nonionic surfactant or an additional anionic surfactant wherein the salt of ricinoleic acid has a lower affinity for the gum base than a salt of stearic acid.
On the Go Stain Removal Method

The Procter & Gamble Company has been awarded a patent covering a method of treating fabric away from home with a easy to carry applicator. The applicator contains the following composition: 1-3% hydrogen peroxide, 1-4% cleaning solvent, water, 0.1-1% surfactant and cyclodextrin. The composition is free from residue-forming materials selected from emulsifiers, thickening agents and suspending agents. The method includes the application of the composition to the fabric by use of the applicator, and the composition is left to evaporate. After evaporation, the fabric has a score of less than 1.5 according to the Residue Test Method.

The rinse-off bar or liquid composition consists of, by weight, 0.5-90% surfactant system comprising C10-C24 fatty acids, alkyl taurates, and oxyalkylene ethers; 0.1-35% solid particulate optical modifier which exhibits a specific set of optical properties, defined by ΔL, Δa*, Δb*, change in reflectivity and/or change in opacity, and which, in combination with a deposition enhancement system, provides at least 5% change in at least one of said optical properties being targeted when said composition is applied to the skin; 0.1-25% deposition enhancement system comprising (i) 0.1-10% a cationic polyquaternium 6 polymer or polymers having an average charge density of about 6.2 meq/g; anionic surfactant and optionally 0.1-30% granular anionic polymer which is a natural alkaloid polymer which forms precipitate with said cationic polymer or polymers upon dilution and selected from the group consisting of C10 to C24 fatty acid soap, alkyl taurates, and mixtures thereof; and 0.1-90% of a hydrophilic structural dispersant comprising alkylene glycol, maltitol and glycerin.
