SDA and The Personal Care Product Council Plan Annual Meetings

There are still a few weeks left in 2008, but two major trade associations are already finalizing plans for their 2009 annual meetings. First up is the 83rd Annual Meeting & Industry Convention of the Soap and Detergent Association. The meeting, which will be held Jan. 27-31 in Boca Raton, FL, is themed “Protecting Future Generations.” The opening speaker is Martin Lindstrom, an expert on brands and marketing, who has conceived a set of principles that achieve positive business results from transformational marketing strategies. His insights are supported by global studies conducted by more than 600 researchers. In his presentation, he will share what his research and experience have taught him. Later, there will be a special presentation by representatives of the Centers for Disease Control, including Dr. L. Casey Chosewood, director of the Office of Health and Safety for the CDC, and Julia Smith-Easley, the corporate partnerships coordinator for the Division of Partnerships and Strategic Alliances at the CDC.

Friday’s speaker is Dan Bena, an authority of corporate sustainability. He serves as the director of sustainability, health, safety and environment for the international division of PepsiCo.
