‘Fragrance as a Science’ Course Scheduled for Jan. 20



The Society of Cosmetic Chemists will hold “Fragrance As A Science” course, Jan. 20, 2009 at the Sheraton Newark Airport Hotel, in Newark, NJ. The course will cover the sense of smell, the history of perfume, fragrance creation and duplication, aroma chemicals and reactions, fragrance applications in personal care and household products, fragrance regulations, natural fragrances, aromatherapy and household products, fragrance regulations, natural fragrances, aromatherapy and aromascience. Area I To Host Annual Scientific Seminar in 2010


Starting with the 2010 Annual Scientific Seminar, each area with in the SCC will be selected to be the host of the seminar. Area I (Connecticut, Long Island, New England, New York, and Quebec) was selected as the first to host the seminar in 2010, and Long Island was chosen as the venue following.
