Warming Lubricant Method Patented by Chemsil Silicones
U.S. Patent No. 7,405,186 B2: Chemsil Silicones, Inc., Chatsworth, CA, has patented a method of using a lubricant. It entails placing an effective amount of a warming lubricant composition on a moist part of the body. The warming lubricant composition is comprised of a first polyalkylene glycol component portion having a first molecular weight, a second polyalkylene glycol component portion having a second molecular weight reduced relative to the first molecular weight, and an effective amount of a viscosity inducing component other than a cellulosic derivative. The first and second polyalkylene glycol component portions together comprised at least approximately 50% by weight of the warming lubricant composition, which is substantially clear and substantially anhydrous. The warming lubricant composition is effective to generate heat when placed on a moist part of the body.
Hair Color
U.S. Patent No. 7,503,939 B2: Mitsubishi Pencil Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, has patented a hair color composition that is comprised of, by weight,0.5-8% of a basic dye as a coloring agent, 0.5-15% of an alcohol-soluble acryl base resin, 20-80% of a lower alcohol and 5-50% water.
Nacreous Colorant for Keratin Fibers
U.S. Patent No. 7,465,322: Wella AG, Darmstadt, Germany, has been awarded a U.S. patent for a nacreous colorant. The colorant is comprised of a dye carrier composition with a nacreous luster in which the carrier composition contains oxidative dyes and/or nonoxidative dyes, and a combination of, by weight, 6.1-20% of at least one fatty alcohol with 14 to 20 carbon atoms, 6.1-20% of at least one alkanolamide, 0.1-15% of at least one fatty alcohol alkoxylate or fatty acid alkoxylate, and 0.1-15% of at least one anionic surfactant. The weight ratio of said fatty alcohol to the alkanolamide is 0.5:2-2:0.5.
Detergent Composition Patented by JohnsonDiversey
U.S.Patent No. 7,501,390 B2: Johnson-Diversey, Inc. has patented a concentrated neutral detergent composition. It is comprised of, by weight, 0.1-14alkanesulfonic acid salt; 12-40 polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether; 20-40alkyl polyglucoside; and water.
Hard Surface Cleaner from Procter & Gamble
U.S. Patent No. 7,501,026 B2: The Procter & Gamble Company has been awarded a U.S. patent for a process of cleaning a hard surface. The process entails applying an acidic liquid hard surface cleaner composition with a pH of 3-6.5 onto a hard surface in the form of a spray. The composition is comprised of approximately 0.0001-5% by weight of the total composition of a hydrophobically modified ethoxylated polyurethane, silicone glycol polymers and n-butoxy propoxy propanol.
McClung Patents Disinfection/Sterilization Method
U.S. Patent No. 7,501,388 B2: James E. McClung has patented a process for destroying a contaminant. The method entails selecting a composition consisting of a mixture prepared by contacting hydrogen peroxide, glycolic acid, isopropyl alcohol and water. The water is present in approximately, by weight, 50% based on the total weight of the hydrogen peroxide, glycolic acid and water, and approximately 99.9% based on the total weight of the hydrogen peroxide, glycolic acid, and water. The composition is then contacted with the contaminant, which is comprised of a material consisting of bacteria and spores.
Granular Detergent with Improved Solubility
U.S. Patent No. US 7,459,422 B2: P&G has patented a substrate composition that entails a spray-dried composite composition. The composite composition is comprised of, by weight, 35-60% of a water-soluble and/or water-dispersible polymer and from 20-80% of a water-soluble inorganic salt, wherein the substrate composition has a median particle size of from approximately 1-100 micrometers, and the substrate composition comprises less than 10% of water-insoluble material. The water-soluble and/or water-dispersible polymer is selected from the group consisting of polyacrylic acid polymer, polymaleic acid polymer, polyacrylic-maleic copolymer, salts thereof and mixtures thereof; and wherein the water soluble inorganic salt is selected from the group consisting of a carbonate, a silicate and mixtures thereof.
L’Oréal Patents Direct Emulsion For Bleaching Hair
U.S. Patent No. 7,494,513 B2: L’Oréal Paris has patented a direct emulsion for bleaching hair. It iscomprised of an inert phase and an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution. The inert phase is comprised ofat least one nonoxygenated and nonperfluorinated liquid compound having a water-solubility at 25°C of less than 1%. The inert phase represents at least 20% by weight of the total weight of the direct emulsion.
