New President of EAME Scent & Care at Symrise
Symrise: appointed Holger Winkel as president of the Europe, Africa, Middle East (EAME) region for the Scent & Care division. He will be in charge of the division’s largest region with approximately 900 employees.
Mr. Winkel spent more than four years in premium hair care at Kao Brands Europe, where he was responsible for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. After expanding the Guhl brand, he successfully integrated the acquisition of John Frieda. Prior to that, Mr. Winkel worked at Procter & Gamble, where he handled a variety of different sales and marketing tasks for Germany, Eastern Europe and Switzerland. Most recently, he ran the OTC product sector of Novartis. Eder Ramos, Mr. Winkel’s predecessor, will now lead the South American region for Symrise Scent & Care.

Before joining Mary Kay, Ms. Adkins-Green was general manager and vice president of Pro-Line International, Alberto-Culver’s multicultural beauty business unit. She was responsible for overseeing global sales and marketing, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution. Prior to that, she was senior vice president of marketing for the Snapple Beverage Group at Cadbury Schweppes and also held senior positions in the global consumer division at Citigroup.

Murad: named Ariya Kittichaikarn as its new sales director for Asia-Pacific. In this position, she will focus on expanding Murad’s presence in Thailand, Taiwan, China, Vietnam and Japan. Ms. Kittichaikarn has extensive marketing, sales and operations experience, including 10 years with L’Oréal in the luxury product division for Lancôme,

The company also appointed Eric Arroyo as media director. He will be responsible for managing all of Murad’s Direct Response Television (DRTV) and radio placement, as well as overseeing media buying agencies and ensuring optimal campaign success. Mr. Arroyo comes to Murad from Quigley Simpson, where he partnered with Murad on the Murad Acne Complex campaign. Prior to Quigley Simpson, he worked at agencies including Williams Worldwide, Century Direct and Icon Media.

Scott’s Liquid Gold: elected Brian Boberick as the treasurer and chief financial officer (CFO) of the company. Mr. Boberick, a certified public accountant, was formerly controller/credit manager of the company since October 2000. He has been involved, among other things, in daily operations of the finance department, preparation of annual and quarterly reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the company’s relationships with lenders and others. Prior to joining Scott’s Liquid Gold, Mr. Boberick was a controller at a sports marketing company, held finance positions at two other companies and was a senior auditor at an accounting firm.
Drom: hired Thibault Leriche as a key account manager at its Paris, France location. He previously worked as a project manager for companies such as Thierry Mugler Parfums, Quest International (Givaudan) and Selective Beauty.
Lubrizol: appointed Michael J. Graff to its board. He is president and chief executive officer of Air Liquide USA LLC, chairman of the board of Air Liquide Canada, Inc., and heads Air Liquide’s industrial gas businesses in North America and the Caribbean. He has also served as president and chief executive officer for several global chemical and polymer businesses.
Mr. Graff serves on the board of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and on the executive committee of the Society for Chemical Industries. He has served as a board member of several international chemical and polymer companies, the American Plastics Council and more.
Borba: named George B. Smart to vice president, sales and training. He will initiate and lead the company’s sales and training plans to enhance the luxury skin care brand’s presence in the select prestige market.
The company also appointed Kina Guyton as vice president, marketing. She will lead the company’s plans to enhance its skin care brand’s presence on the QVC network and prestige outlets globally.
