In-Cosmetics will celebrate its 20th anniversary in Paris, Porte de Versailles, April 13-15, 2010.
According to organizers, the inaugural In-Cosmetics, held in 1990 in Birmingham (UK) attracted 900 visitors and just over 60 exhibitors. In contrast, the recently concluded In-Cosmetics in Munich attracted more than 4,500 visitors and over 500 exhibitors.
According to Cathy Laporte, marketing manager, In-Cosmetics, the overall feedback from Munich exhibitors is that although the number of visitors was slightly down, the quality of the visitors, discussions and meetings was excellent.
"Although manufacturers sent less people per company which had a negative impact on the overall visitor figure,
it actually enabled many small and medium-size exhibitors to have conversations with the key decision making people that they so often cannot reach," explained Ms. Laporte.
Here are some comments from exhibitors that illustrate, Ms. Laporte's observations:
“This year event has been very busy for CLR with great quality meetings. We have found new distributors and welcomed business partners from all around the world.
in-cosmetics is our big event of the year and Munich has not disappointed!"
—John Lofthouse, sales & marketing director, CLR
“In-Cosmetics and Munich provided Tensachem with an impressive line up of potential new customers who came to the exhibition with real purpose.”
—Graham Royle, chief executive, Tensachem SA
“We enjoyed the venue as a showcase. It was a great opportunity to meet customers from all over the world. We met a lot of new contacts from the Middle East and experienced a lot of traffic at our booth.”
—Frank Flynn, laboratory manager, R.T Vanderbilt
“We were actually very worried at the beginning that it would be only German visitors at the show but it is really busy. I think Reed did a great job. They listen to you; you really have a voice and can give your opinion. The show looks very good. I liked the innovation zone and the conferences in general, They cover all the topics of the main trends.”
—Aurelio Schlegel, marketing communications personal care, Akzo Nobel
“It’s very good and we are very pleased. We had a lot of people at the booth. And the first day was much busier compared to last year’s. We had a lot of visitors from Middle East and Eastern Europe. We like the way everything is set up here and the location is good. I have to say I prefer the location this year to Amsterdam 2008.”
—Diana Oderbein, marketing manager, BASF
