Pure USA Patents Topical Personal Care Compositions
U.S. Patent No. 7,553,480 B2; Pure USA, LLC, East Brunswick, NJ, has patented a topical personal care composition that consists of hydrocortisone (1%), water (q.s.), cocoamidopropyl hydroxysultaine (30-40%), PEG-6000 distearate (5-10%), panthenol (1-5%), lauramide DEA (1-5%), panthenyl ethyl ether (0.5-0.9%), lauramide DEA (and) linoleamide DEA (0.5-0.9%), glycol stearate (0.1-0.5%), fragrance (0.1-0.5%), phytantriol (0.1-0.5%); methylparaben (0.1-0.3%), propylparaben (0.1-0.3%), sodium benzoate (0.1-0.3%), methylchloroisothiazolinone (<0.1%) and methylisothiazolinone (<0.1%).
Spray-Dried Powdered Detergent With Perfume Capsules
U.S. Patent 7,538,079 B2; A process for manufacturing a spray dried detergent powder has been patented by Takasago, Tokyo. It entails forming a warm, stirred aqueous slurry comprised of inorganic salts, binding agents and 0.001-20% by weight of capsules based on the weight of spray dried powder, said capsules containing at least one benefit agent comprising perfume, and spray drying the slurry to form a detergent powder while admixing at least one member selected from a zeolite builder, phosphate builder, carbonate builder and a surfactant binding agent. More than 40% by weight of the benefit agent remains encapsulated 60 minutes after dispersion thereof at 70°C in the slurry in a sealed vessel without agitation; and more than 30% by weight of the benefit agent added for 15 minutes to an ambient slurry survives spray drying.
Surfactant Free Detergent with Anti-Soil Agent
U.S. Patent No. 7,553,807 B2; Miz Co., Ltd., Kanagawa, Japan, has been awarded a U.S. patent for a method for washing clothes in a washing liquid composition that does not include a surface active agent, but includes, as a substantial active component for detergency, a washing component. It is comprised of an alkaline inorganic salt selected from the group consisting ofcarbonate alkali metal salt; silicate alkali metal salt; carbonate alkali metal salt and bicarbonate alkali metal salt; bicarbonate alkali metal salt and silicate alkali metal salt; or carbonate alkali metal salt and silicate alkali metal salt. The formulation also contains an anti-soil redeposition component that prevents resoiling of hydrophilic fibers and hydrophobic fibers when coexisting with said inorganic salt, which is a water-soluble polymer substance of a nonionic system including at least one species selected from the group consisting of an acetyl group, methoxy group, hydroxypropyl group, and poly-oxy propylene group as the hydrophobic group, and including a hydroxyl group as the hydrophilic group. The detergent composition has a pH between 9.5-11, is dissolved in a concentration of 0.5 to 5 g/L to form the washing liquid, and through the existence of the anti-soil redeposition component, has surface tension of 58 dyne/cm or less.
Liquid Detergent from Clariant
U.S. Patent 7,544,652 B2; Clariant Produkts (Deutschland) GmbH has patented a liquid cleaning composition. The composition is comprised of alkylbenzenesulfonate, olefinsulfonate, alkylsulfate, alkyl ether sulfate or mixtures thereof, secondary alkanesulfonate, soap, ether carboxylate, betaine or mixtures thereof, a nonionic surfactant and a dye fixative selected from the group consisting of homopolymers of diallyldimethylammonlum chloride, copolymers of diallyldimethylammonium chloride and mixtures thereof.
Perfumed Household Products
U.S. Patent No. 7,550,416 B2; P&G has been awarded a patent for an aqueous household cleaning, fabric treatment or deodorizing product. It is comprised of an aqueous composition that contains, by weight, approximately 0.1-30% of a surfactant and approximately 0.003-5% of a perfume, wherein at least about 40 weight percent of the said perfume is one or more hydrophilic perfume ingredients selected from the group consisting of: ethyl vanillin; isoeugenyl acetate; heliotropine diethyl acetal; 2H-1,5-benzodioxepin-3 (4H)-one, 7-methyl-; 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl) butanone-2; vanillin isobutyrate; helional; cashmeran; piperonyl acetone; methyl beta-naphthyl ketone; methyl dihydrojasmonate; lyral; and mixtures thereof. The product also entails a plastic container constructed of at least about 80 wt. % of HDPE.
