Date Set for Cosmoprof Italy 2010



The 43rd edition of Cosmoprof is now scheduled for April 16-19, 2010 in Bologna, Italy; with Cosmopack to take place in the Fair District on April 15-18, 2010. Cosmoprof North America 2010 is planned for July 18-20, 2010 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.

Knoll Expands Global Reach at Paris Pack & Gift Show



In an effort to expand its European client base, Knoll Packaging’s U.S. management team joined its new Paris office head of sales, Florence Dancoisne, at the Pack & Gift Show in Paris-Port de Versailles, France, June 3-4.

According to the company, the show enjoyed an increase in attendance of nearly 9% from the 2008 show, with 2,800 visitors. “I was very impressed with the traffic from high-end luxury commodities,” stated Ms. Dancoisne. “Knoll appreciates the interest all of these visiting companies.”

One of 147 exhibitors this year, Knoll plans on returning as a third-time exhibitor in 2010 for the Paris show, which will run June 9-10, 2010. The company’s clients include Coty Diageo, Estée Lauder, La Prairie and LVMH.

Rexam to Close Pompano, FL Location



Rexam will shutter its Pompano Beach, FL, plastic packaging manufacturing plant. According to the company, the closure will further align its manufacturing capabilities, improves overall asset utilization and helps balance industry capacity and demand.

The plant closure is currently scheduled to be complete by early 2010. The plant, which began operations in 2000, employs about 65 people and manufactures foam dispensers. The plant’s production will be absorbed by other manufacturing facilities in Rexam’s network without interruption in customer shipments, said the company.
