U.S Patent No. 7,597,880 B2; L’Oréal has been awarded a U.S. patent for a multi-mineral no-mix relaxer. The formulation contains LiOH, NaOH and an additive comprising an emulsifier and Ca(OH). It has a pH in a range of greater than 12.7 to approximately 13.2, according to the patent.
Cleaning Agent Contains Fragrance Microparticles
U.S. Patent No. 7,601,678 B2; Henkel AG & Co. KGaA, Düsseldorf,Germany, has been awarded a patent for a washing and cleaning agent shaped body that is silicone-free and is in the form of a granulate, extrudate, agglomerate or tablet. It is comprised of fine fragrance microparticles that are not coated, but instead are absorbed or adsorbed on a carrier selected from starch compounds, silicates and mixtures thereof. The microparticles enter into solution during the washing process and actively participate in the cleaning process. The microparticles have a particle size distribution of 0.5- to 1μm.
P&G Patents Water-Soluble Pouches
U.S. Patent No. 7,595,290 B2; Procter & Gamble Company has patented a composition within a pouch. There is a compartment formed from a stretchable water-disintegrating polymer, stretchable water-soluble polymer, stretchable water-dispersible polymer or a mixture thereof. The stretched film material is of a non-uniform thickness varying from about 20 microns to about 40 microns, It also contains a disintegrating aid in the film material which has an effervescent source that includes an organic acid and a carbonate source; a detergent additive in the film material; and a detergent composition in the compartment.
Sand-Repellent Substances Contain an Ester Quat
U.S. Patent No. 7,597,881 B2; Goldschmidt GmbH, Essen, Germany,has been awarded a U.S. patent for a method for reducing the amount of sand that is stuck to skin. The method entails applying a composition that includes at least one ester quat based on alkanolamines to the skin, which produces a sand-repellent action. At least one ester quat has an acyl component that is derived from monocarboxylic acids, dicarboxylic acids, tricarboxylic acids or their mixtures.
Storage-Stable Concentrated Aqueous Anionic Dye
U.S. Patent No. 7,597,721 B2; Clariant Finance (BVI) Limited has patented a process for producing a storage-stable concentrated aqueous preparation of an anionic dye. The steps entail providing an aqueous solution or suspension, subjecting it to ultrafiltration to form an ultrafiltrated dye solution, and concentrating the ultrafiltrated dye solution, with the proviso that no additional solubilizers, dispersants or tensides are added.

U.S. Patent No. 7,598,213 B2; P&G has patented a personal cleansing composition that contains a surfactant component (selected from the group consisting of anionic surfactants, amphoteric and zwitterionic surfactants having an attached group that is anionic at the pH of the composition, and combinations thereof), a polymer mixture of electrolyte and a water soluble or dispersible, cationic, non-crosslinked, conditioning homopolymer and water.

U.S. Patent No. 7,601,338 B2; Colgate-Palmolive has patented an anti-plaque oral care composition that contains an enzyme comprising an impurity and a cyclodextrin. The cyclodextrin forms a complex with the impurity that is insoluble in the antiplaque oral care composition.
Three-Phase Liquid Polish and Cleaning Composition
U.S. Patent No. 7,598,216 B2; Turtle Wax, Inc., Willowbrook, IL has patented a three-phase liquid composition for polishing and cleaning a painted surface. It consists of an organic phase, an aqueous phase, a particulate phase and at least one surfactant consisting of an anionic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant, a nonionic surfactant or a combination thereof.
Multilayered Detergent Tablet Patented by Henkel
U.S. Patent No. 7,598,217 B2; Henkel, Düsseldorf, Germany, has patented a detergent in the form of a three-layer tablet that contains a viscoelastic phase comprised of one or more alkylbenzenesulfonates with a storage modulus of between 40,000-800,000 Pa placed between two tableted phases. The layers are visible over the entire circumference of the tablet.
