Rexam Launches Plastic that Resembles Glass

Rexam contends it has shattered the industry’s old-school bottle material paradigm with its launch of Crystal Transparency. In addition to its remarkable clarity and visual appeal, the packaging offers manufacturers an exciting range of marketing and production advantages.

Crystal Transparency offers “startling clarity and beauty, as well as remarkable cost and manufacturing efficiencies,” said Julie Vergnion, product manager, Rexam Personal Care Division, and is available on all Rexam standard samplers, including Sof’n’Touch, Mini-Mist and Sofistic’s.

The packaging offers all the aesthetic allure of glass, yet without the cost, according to Rexam. It is lighter than glass, for reduced transportation costs—and tough enough to reduce filling line breakage.

Crystal Transparency is fully customizable and every decoration technique used with Rexam plastic sampler bottles is available: hot stamping, silk screening and various unlimited printing colors.
