Juice Beauty Patents Skin Peel

U.S. Patent No. 7,632,527,B2;
Juice Beauty has been awarded a U.S. patent for juice-based skin peels and masks that include a blend of organic juices and other organic ingredients. The blend of organic juices and other organic ingredients comprises at least 70% by weight of the follow composition: Pyrus malus (apple) juice, Citrus medica limonum (lemon) juice, Vitis vinfera (white grape) juice, Saccharum officinarum, milk peptides, Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, glycerin, hydroy-propyl starch phosphate, sodium hydroxide, algae extract, sclerotium gum, tocopherol acetate and tocopherol (vitamin E), ascorbyl palmitate (vitamin C), retinyl palmitate (vitamin A), phospholipids, magnesium aspartate, zinc gluconate, copper gluconate, phenoxyethanol, benzyl alcohol, potassium sorbate, tetrasodium EDTA and xanthan gum.

Reckitt Patents Cleaning System

U.S. Patent No. 7,638,470 B2; Reckitt Benckiser (UK) has been granted a U.S. patent for a cleaning product that is comprised of a liquid and a separate solid state catalyst. The liquid cleaning composition contains a bleaching agent and one or more organic or inorganic acids, while the solid state catalyst is selected from a group consisting of a copper salt, a cobalt salt, a transition metal and a transition metal compound. The patent also covers a container for the cleaning system.

Clorox Patents Aqueous Cleaning Composition

U.S. Patent No. 7,637,271 B1;
Clorox has patented an aqueous cleaning composition. It is comprised of a polyaluminum compound, a surfactant selected from the group consisting of nonionic, anionic, cationic, amphoteric, zwitterionic and mixtures thereof; and a solvent selected from the group consisting of ethanol, isopropanol, sorbitol, glycerol, propylene glycol, 1,3-propanediol, methanol, propanol, butanol, soy-derived fatty acid methyl ester, d-limonene, canola-derived fatty acid methyl ester and mixtures thereof.

Treatment with Plant Litchi Chinensis Sonn Extracts

U.S, Patent No. 7,651,692 B2; Cognis France S.A. has been awarded a U.S. patent for a skin or hair treatment composition that contains a component selected from the group consisting of surfactants, oils, emulsifiers, pearlizing waxes, consistency factors, thickeners, superfatting agents, stabilizers, polymers, silicone compounds, fats, waxes, lecithins, phospholipids, biogenic agents, UV protection factors, antioxidants, deodorants, antiperspirants, anti-dandruff agents, film formers, swelling agents, insect repellents, self tanning agents, tyrosine inhibitors, hydrotropes, solubilizers, preservatives, perfume oils, dyes and combinations of two or more of these; and a neutral extract from a pericarp of a Litchi chinensis Sonn plant.

Henkel Patents Liquid Washing Agent

Henkel has patented an aqueous liquid washing or cleaning agent comprising a surfactant and at least one capsule that contains, encapsulated in a matrix, an active ingredient, an aluminum silicate and a silicic acid.

U.S. Patent No. 7,651,994 B2; L’Oréal, Paris (France) has patented a fragrance composition that contains odoriferous materials, ethanol, decamethyltetrasiloxane, water and surfactant.

Topical Formulation with Ceramic Hydroxyapatite Particles

U.S. Patent No. 7,655,250 B2; Laboratory Skin Care, Inc., Tahoe City, CA, has been awarded a U.S. patent for a skin composition that entails sintered macroporous hydroxyapatite particles and a physiologically and cosmetically acceptable vehicle other than water.

Impregnated Cloths

U.S. Patent No. 7,658,936 B2; Goldschmidt GmbH has patented cosmetic or dermatological impregnated cloths made from a water-insoluble nonwoven that has been moistened with an impregnation solution. The solution is comprised of an oil-in-water emulsion having a viscosity of less than 2000 mPa·s; one or more partially neutralized glyceride esters and one or more fatty alcohols. •
