This color-less, water-soluble ingredient will be useful in cosmetic applications worldwide, with particular interest in hair care, anti-aging nutricosmetic, and sun care and after-sun care formulations.
Saberry, a patent pending natural extract of amla (Indian gooseberry), an antioxidant superfruit used in the Ayurvedic tradition as a rasayana, or tonic, in multiple compositions to support general health maintenance and the management of various health conditions. It is a rejuvenating herb known to increase resistance to stress, making it ideal for anti-aging cosmetic products, according to the company.
Amla extract helps protect against the damaging effects of free radicals and heavy metal-induced oxidative stress. It also helps control collagen metabolism, and has been found to possess significant potential as a UVA and UVB protectant. It has a long tradition of use improving the health of hair and scalp.
