Master Stylist and Colorist John Rodriguez is representing Lubrizol’s Noveon Consumer Specialties at this year’s NYSCC Suppliers’ Day (Booth No. 1323). With more than 25 years of experience in the New York City metro area, Rodriguez was trained at the Robert Fiance Hair Design Institute on New York City’s Fifth Avenue. His creativity and technique led to him being selected to represent the Sebastian line of styling products with his designs. Over the course of his professional career Rodriguez's designs have been featured in The New York Times, the Miss New Jersey Beauty Pageants and several music videos. He continues his craft and designs in his own salon, located in an up-and-coming urban community just outside of New York City, where his passion and inspiration are captured in his tag line, “some cut others create.”
Rodriguez will highlight the new Fixate Freestyle polymer (INCI: Acrylates Crosspolymer-3), which provides breakthrough performance in hair styling applications without compromising gel rheology or aesthetics.
When used in combination with Carbopol rheology modifiers, this innovative, patent-pending hair fixative polymer delivers excellent humidity resistance and allows hold strength to be tailored from light to ultra-high stiffness without a significant change in gel viscosity or flow characteristics. Hair gels formulated with Fixate Freestyle polymer exhibit short flow, excellent pickup, air bubble suspension, high clarity and smooth gel appearance, making them suitable for a wide range of packaging.
