Consumer Goods Technology (CGT) magazine has honored Henkel with the Outstanding Achievement Award in the category of Most Innovative Product for its Purex Crystals laundry enhancer, which creates freshness that lasts for weeks, not days. Henkel is the maker of Dial soaps, Purex laundry detergents and softeners, and Right Guard antiperspirants.
Purex Crystals are environmentally responsible as they are made of 92 percent natural ingredients. In addition, the product is simple for consumers to use – it goes in at the start of the wash, eliminating messy softener balls and waiting for the rinse cycle to dose. Since Purex Crystals are added at the beginning of the wash cycle, it spends more time with laundry, infusing it with long-lasting freshness.
This award honors the consumer goods industry's most innovative new products launched in 2010/2011. Award winners are determined by members of the magazine’s external Research and Editorial Advisory Board, made up of senior level executives from PepsiCo, Newell Rubbermaid, Nestlé, and more.
The award was presented to Henkel during a ceremony on Sept. 23 at the annual Consumer Goods Growth & Innovation Forum in Miami, Fla., which took place from Sept. 21-23, 2011.
“Innovation is core to our success, and at Henkel we pride ourselves on creating effective and simple solutions for consumers’ laundry care needs” said Stephen Koven, director of laundry additives for Henkel’s Purex brand.
