Avalon Organics has transitioned its entire line of personal care products to the NSF/ANSI 305 Standard for personal care care products containing organic ingredients. At a press event today in New York City, the brand told reporters that products are rolling out now, and the full line will be completely on store shelves in January 2012.
Avalon has reformulated its entire range to insure that all products contain at least 70% organic content, all ingredients are approved by NSF and the labeling has been updated.
According to Emma Froelich-Shea, senior SVP of marketing and R&D at Hain Celestial Personal Care, revamping the line to the standard has also allowed the company to make its products more efficacious.
In addition, the firm has switched its “green” bottle lines to bottles made of 100% PCR.
