Call for Papers: 2013 Scientific Seminar Podium Presentations

• The Committee on Scientific Affairs has announced the call for papers for podium presentations for the 2013 Annual Scientific Seminar. This event, hosted by Area II, will be held June 6-7, 2013 at the Union Station Marriott in St. Louis. The deadline for submissions is Sept. 15.

Authors are invited to submit titles and abstracts of no more than 150 words for original papers to be presented in podium format. All topics related to cosmetic science will be considered. Topics of particular interest for submission of abstracts are: Beauty from Within; Approaches to Even Skin Toning/Tanning; Skin Microbiology and Health; Product Development for Emerging Markets and the Ethnic Population; Products for an Aging (Geriatric) Population; and Alternative Preservatives in a Global Market.

Abstract cover sheets and templates can be obtained by contacting the SCC national office or may be printed from the website www.scconline.org.

Submissions should be sent to the Committee on Scientific Affairs via email to alynch@scconline.org.
All presenters will be eligible for the Shaw Mudge Award sponsored by BASF Corporation, which is given for the Best Paper presented at the Society’s Annual Seminar. The honorarium for this award is $2,500.
