• FRANCE: L’Oréal has sold off the home care business of the Cadum Group to Eau Ecarlate SAS, which is part of Spotless Group.

The business, which includes the brands Croc’Odor (odor neutralizers), Iba (air fresheners), Zensect (moth repellents) and Dr. Optic (optical lens cleaners), had sales of €17 million in 2011, two-thirds of which came from France.

L’Oréal acquired French soap company Cadum, the majority of which was held by investment fund Milestone, in April.

Spotless is a European company specializing in home care niche markets. The firm’s revenues have grown from €65 million in 2005 to €265 million last year.
