Mandom To Manufacture Hair Care Products in Indonesia

November 6, 2012

• INDONESIA: Mandom Corp. is reportedly expanding production of men’s hair care products in Indonesia, starting local output of more expensive items in response to rising income levels in a leading foreign market. According to a report in The Nikkei, the Japanese firm will invest approximately 100 million yen to begin turning out containers at a plant in Bekasi, West Java, and will relocate a production line from Japan to its Jakarta plant.

Mandom launched six Moving Rubber hair styling products in Indonesia this year; they are primarily aimed at younger men. Prior to local production, Mandom was supplying Indonesia from its Fukusaki plant.
