Sun & Skin Care Research, the maker of No-Ad sun care products, has acquired the Bull Frog brand from Chattem, Inc., a division of Sanofi US.
Sanofi gained the Bullfrogin itsacquisition of Chattem in 2009, a $1.9 billion deal that was centered on the company’s OTC presence in the US . Today, Chattem resides within Sanofi US’s consumer health care products business, which includes Allegra, Lactayd, and most recently, Rolaids, which was purchased just last month from McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNeil-PPC.

Bull Frog was the first sun care brand to provide water resistant protection and the first mass marketed sunscreen/insect repellent line. Launched in 1985 in California, Bull Frog offered serious sun protection to surfers who spent hours in the water.The brand has expanded to include Bull Frog Mosquito Coast, which is a ombination sunscreen and insect repellent.
Sun & Skin Care Research, Cocoa, FL was founded in 1989. Along with No-Ad, its sun care brands include Ocean Potion andParrot Head from Margaritaville.
