Fragrance West Names New President

September 16, 2013

Sales and marketing teams also expand.

Fragrance West named Steve E. Raphel as president. By joining Fragrance West, Raphel will add nearly 35 years of experience and expertise to a relatively new, but rapidly growing, and uniquely positioned company.

“Hiring Steve is part of a strategic plan in the progressive expansion of our business,” said Mike Zarkades, president, Ingredients Division at Horn, parent company of Fragrance West. “His unquestionable industry know-how is a welcomed and integral addition to our company. We are confident Steve will add an extra dimension to Fragrance West’s already dynamic evolution.”

A fifth-generation perfumer, Raphel has been instrumental in establishing companies into recognized and well-respected industry leaders. Before joining Fragrance West, Raphel served as president at both Belmay and Manheimer Fragrances. Raphel also held both creative perfumery and executive management positions at Felton International, where he began his career in 1979.

Also new to Fragrance West are key personnel to round out its sales and marketing teams – Brian Wills, Susanne Mayle, Gloria Albrecht and Karri Witt, who all joined the company from their previous posts at Monarch Fragrances. These hirings uphold Fragrance West’s standards of appointing highly experienced and technically trained fragrance professionals
