Croda at SCS Formulate

Company showcases newest technologies in UK event.

At SCS Formulate, the UK’s largest event focusing on raw materials, ingredients and formulation services for personal care and cosmetic products, Croda with an excellent opportunity to showcase its latest product launches and initiatives.
 
Among the newest Croda technologies on display were Volarest FL, a unique polymer that delivers controlled, targeted delivery from sprayable emulsions, novel textures that excite the user and the weightless suspension of emollients and beads in low viscosity fluids; and Natragem EW, a high performance emulsifying wax with excellent stabilization and thickening properties, which also boasts excellent electrolyte tolerance and compatibility with a broad range of commonly used personal care actives;
Natragem S140 multifunctional solubilizer, which designed to incorporate lipophilic cosmetic actives and their carrier oils into clear formulation; Sustainable Palm Oil Derivatives, sourced under the rules set by the roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil;  Keramimic 2.0, a specialised keratin quat that provides targeted repair to the most damaged areas of the hair’s surface; Voluminis, a hair volumizing active  that significantly increases the appearance of hair volume by delivering long lasting exceptional volume from rinse off systems; and Solaveil Sensation, a uniquely coated titanium dioxide dispersion that combines optimum UV performance with enhanced aesthetics, enabling chemists to formulate sensationally light and luxurious UV protection products.

Gary Astill, presented “Hold the Press… What’s new at Croda for 2014?” Croda also held a formulation masterclass on during which  Mike Hindley (Applications Team Leader) demonstrated formulation techniques for “Cleansers for Today and Tomorrow.”
