Sunscreen Issue Still in Debate

November 21, 2013

House Committee, FDA discuss pending applications.

The House Committee on Energy and Commerce recently held a US Food and Drug Administration oversight hearing with Dr. Janet Woodcock, director of the FDA Center for Drug Evaluation.

Congressmen Ed Whitfield (R-KY) and John Dingell (D-MI) took the opportunity to press Dr. Woodcock about the status of pending sunscreen applications.

The final rule went into effect last January, as previously reported in Happi.
