Guthy-Renker welcomed Jay Sung as its newly appointed chief marketing officer. His role will help lead Guthy-Renker's aggressive growth plan for 2014 as well as develop and implement marketing and brand strategies for Proactiv+, Meaningful Beauty, Wen Haircare and Sheer Cover Studio worldwide.
As CMO, Sung will develop the overall marketing and customer-experience strategy to grow Guthy-Renker's sales through acquisition, current member marketing, multi-channel direct response marketing and brand management. An important component of the overall strategy will involve leveraging the explosive growth in the digital landscape and the rapidly evolving changes in consumer purchase behavior. Sung will report to Seth Radwell, co-president and chief revenue officer at Guthy-Renker.
Sung most recently served as chief executive officer at Lot18, an e-commerce platform for online wine sales. Sung was responsible for the company's significant growth in membership and revenue. Prior to Lot18, Sung served as the president of Adaptive Marketing and has also worked as chief marketing officer of ConsumerInfo.com, the parent company of FreeCreditReport.com.
