Butler Picks up oneCare's Cleaning, Garment Business

Deal made for durables marketed under big brand names.

Butler Home Products has reached an agreement with The Evercare Company/oneCARE of Alpharetta, GA to acquire oneCARE's lint roller, garment care and cleaning tool businesses. The deal includes durable SKUs marketed under various retail and private label brands, including Bounce and Clorox.

"We are excited about our future and the opportunity to acquire these innovative products and recognizable brands,” said Rob Michelson, president of Butler Home Products. "These new businesses will add to our capabilities and allow us to offer more products and brands to our US and Canadian retail partners." 

Butler will also acquire oneCARE's Canadian operations based in the Toronto area. 

As previoulsy reported by HAPPI, CR Brands acquired the chemical/liquid side of oneCare’s oeprations, which included Dryel and Roto-Rooter SKUs, in December 2013.

Butler Home Products sells a wide variety of cleaning and household products marketed under the Butler, Twist, Dawn, Mr. Clean, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Charmin, Gain, Febreze, Clorox, Clorox Platinum, Clorox Readymop and Black & Decker brand names, Butler also distributes cleaning tools under the Mr. Clean/M.Net and Clorox brands in Canada.  P&G and Clorox brand names are used under license.
