KODA Distribution Group (KDG) has acquired The DeWolf Companies (DeWolf Chemical, Inc., Glenn Corporation and Tempo Canada ULC). A purchase price was not disclosed.
DeWolf distributes raw materials throughout North America that are used within the personal care, color cosmetics, and household and industrial and institutional industries. According to the company, The DeWolf Companies now form the operating entities within the newly-created KODA Care business unit and will continue to operate in the same capacity as before the acquisition. Existing Care business within any of KDG's other distribution business will transfer to the KODA Care business vertical, creating the market leading specialty chemical distribution channel to the North American personal care, color cosmetics and HI&I markets.
The DeWolf Companies existing company management, sales, supply chain and customer service teams will remain in place to continue service teams will remain in place to continue servicing each company's individual regional market. Hank DeWolf, president, The DeWolf Companies, has been named president of the KODA Care business unit, which is under the direction of Frank Bergonzi, CEO and president, KDG.
