When Walmart talks, people listen—especially the thousands of suppliers whose products back the shelves of the world's biggest retailer. Attendees at the Midyear meeting of the Consumer Specialty Products Association will be all ears then when Jim Scalfani, senior product development manager, Walmart, kicks off the event at noon on Tuesday, May 6.
The CSPA Midyear Meeting will be held in Chicago, May 6-9.
As part of his presentation, Scalfani will discuss:
• Five Absolutes of Product Development;
• Why Companies Need Product Development; and
• Designer v. Product Developer—What's the Difference?
The general session will include a keynote from Trish Wheaton, chief marketing officer, Wunderman Managing Partner, Global New Business, Y&R. In addition, there will be several divisional meetings, cocktail receptions and InnoVention, the two-day B2B showcase for suppliers marketing to the household and institutional products industry.
The CSPA Midyear Meeting will close with a special session, Emerging Retailer Topics, which will include sessions on Hazardous Waste, moderated by Mary Marrero of Procter & Gamble and Supplier/Retailer Information Communication, moderated by Sarah Hinz of Henkel.
