NYSCC Suppliers' Day Attracts Nearly 7,000

May 27, 2014

More than 6,700 attend the NYSCC event, the biggest in the US cosmetics industry.

The recently-concluded New York Society of Cosmetic Chemist Suppliers’ Day attracted more than 6,700 attendees, according to organizers. The event attracted attendees from 47 countries.

“We were thrilled with this year’s attendance and growth," said Steve Neidenberg, chairman, NYSCC. "It’s a positive sign that there is a higher level of economic confidence.”

In addition to Suppliers' Day, the NYSCC assembled a program of experts to explore Brazil and its immense opportunities. The program, which was held on May 12, the day before the opening of Suppliers’ Day, attracted nearly 200 industry professionals. Attendees learned about Brazil’s biological diversity, its ethnic diversity and its thirst for personal care products and fragrances.

“As more companies are embracing globalization to reach new customers in new markets, a greater understanding of consumer preferences, important product types, and regulatory issues in this vast and growing market is essential,” said Steve Herman, NYSCC advisor.

Next year, NYSCC Suppliers’ Day, will be held May 12-13, at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center. The one-day seminar will focus on India and will take place on May 11, 2015. More info:
