Murad Expands Pore Reform Line

July 3, 2014

New twice-weekly scrub is formulated with jojoba beads, witch hazel and cinnamon extract.

Murad’s newest SKU is Skin Smoothing Polish, a twice-weekly exfoliating scrub that works to remove embedded impurities and relieve clogged pores, providing a deeper clean for the skin. Part of Murad’s Pore Reform line, the scrub accelerates cell turnover, shedding dry, dead skin for clearer pores and a more vibrant complexion.

Skin Smoothing Polish is formulated with gentle jojoba beads that exfoliate; witch hazel as an astringent to help tighten pores; cinnamon extract to balance oil production without drying skin; and pomegranate seed extract to help protect against free radical damage while reducing inflammation. Rich in omega-6 oil, Skin Smoothing Polish also uses starflower and sunflower seed oils to help resist moisture loss, leaving skin soft and smooth.

“Over time, dirt, oil and other toxins build up on the skin, clogging pores and giving otherwise youthful skin a dull, unrefined appearance,” said Howard Murad, M.D., FAAD, Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA and founder of Murad, Inc. “Not only does this buildup affect how our skin looks, it can affect the overall health of the skin. The key to prolonging the skin’s youthful glow relies on the use of effective topical products as part of a full skin care regimen; an integral part of this is incorporating a powerful exfoliator that will give you a ‘clean slate.’ Just like you switch up the exercise moves in your workout routine to see better results, adding a polishing cleanser two or three times a week will improve the overall performance of your daily skincare regimen.”

Murad’s Skin Smoothing Polish is available on Murad.com, at the Murad Inclusive Health Spa® and will be available at Sephora, Ulta, Massage Envy Spas and leading salons and spas beginning this month
