Target Names New CEO

Cornell moves over from PepsiCo.

Target named PepsiCo executive Brian Cornell as its newest chief executive officer (CEO).  He replaces interim CEO John Mulligan, who stepped in when Gregg Steinhafel resigned this spring.

Besides working at PepsiCo, Cornell also previously served as CEO of Sam's Club and Michael's craft stores, and as chief marketing officer at Safeway.
