Beauty service app Glamsquad named Alexandra Wilkis Wilson as president and chief executive officer. She joins from Gilt where she was co-founder and strategic advisor.
At Glamsquad, Wilson will help lead the expansion into new service lines, geographies and revenue streams. She brings 15 years of international experience in luxury goods, retail and finance to her role, as Wilson held prior positions at Bulgari, Louis Vuitton and Merrill Lynch. Most recently as co-founder of Gilt, Wilson helped lead the innovative online shopping destination in a variety of executive roles from its start-up phase to a global online retail platform with over 9 million members and over 1,000 employees.
While there, Wilson variously served as chief merchandising officer, head of national sales for Gilt City, head of brand relations, and most recently, head of strategic alliances. Wilson will continue in the role of strategic advisor at Gilt.
Concurrent with Wilson's arrival, co-founder Victoria Eisner will assume the role of Glamsquad’s executive vice president and chief creative officer.
