To be honest. Jessica Alba is determined to change the way new consumers choose their personal care products. Alba's The Honest Company recently raised $70 million in capital to expand into Asia and enter new categories including beauty and feminine care.
"We want to be the trusted family brand for millennials all over the world," Alba told CNBC's Julia Boorstin.
Currently, The Honest Company delivers baby care and home care products right to consumers homes. Products that are billed as being "not only effective, but unquestionably safe, eco-friendly, beautiful, convenient, and affordable."
The company has a $200 million revenue run rate and there's talk that The Honest Company may issue an IPO in 2015. But for now, Alba and company co-founder Christopher Gavigan say that they are determined to be stewards of the capital that they raise and grow smartly.
