WFFC will host “F&F Legislation and Natural Products: How It Impacts You”—held in conjunction with EFEO (The European Federation of Essential Oils), RIFM (The Research Institute for Fragrance Materials) and IFRA North America (The International Fragrance Association). The event will be held on April 14 at Nanina’s in the Park in Belleville, NJ.
Reach 2018 and GHS will create new challenges and opportunities for all participants of the flavor and fragrance industry. To help companies decode the upcoming legislation, the WFFC has a lineup of speakers of regulatory leaders, it said. The discussion topics will include: “The Reach Code: An Overview of EFEO and REACH Today, the Link between Reach and GHS, Decoding Reach 2018” - Eric Angelini (EFEO Technical Committee Co-Chair and VP of Global Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety, MANE, France) and Jens-Achim Protzen (EFEO Technical Committee Co-Chair and Managing Director, Paul Kaders GmbH, Germany); “Updating Criteria for RIFM Safety Assessments: How We Approach Naturals” - David K. Wilcox, Ph.D. (President, RIFM, USA); and “IFRA North America 2015 Policy Issues: GHS and Prop 65” – Jennifer Abril (President, IFRA North America, USA) and Megan Ekstrom (Director Government Affairs, IFRA North America, USA). A networking dinner will follow after the speeches.
