March of Dimes New York Division will host its second annual Spirit of Beauty Luncheon on May 11, 2015 at Cipriani 42nd St. in New York City. The event will honor Elena Drell Szyfer, CEO, Laura Geller Beauty; Lisa Price, founder, Carol’s Daughter, Inc.; Sheila Rosenblum, owner, Lady Sheila Stable; and her daughter Kara Rosenblum.
Rosenblum and her daughter will receive the distinguished Volunteer Par Excellence Award. Nancy McKay, CEO, Nest Fragrances and Mindy Grossman, CEO, HSN will present the Spirit of Beauty Award to Szyfer and Price, respectively.
Sponsors for the event are Carol’s Daughter, Laura Geller Beauty, L’Oréal USA, Coty, The Estee Lauder Companies, Hearst Magazines, International Flavors & Fragrances, and Shiseido Cosmetics USA.
Founded in 1975 by John G. Ledes of Beauty Fashion, the beauty event has a long and illustrious history. For more than 39 years, the March of Dimes Beauty Ball had the distinction of being one of the most highly anticipated social events in the cosmetic and fashion publishing industries; raising over $35 million to support the organization.
Last year, in keeping with industry changes, the event was refashioned as a networking luncheon. “With the support of a stellar line-up of business leaders, volunteers and partners, the second annual Spirit of Beauty Luncheon promises to be a huge success,” said Shelly Siegel, executive director, March of Dimes NY Division.
