The Yankee Candle Company, Inc. rolled out the limited edition Homefront Girl collection in support of Homes for Our Troops, created by career officer’s wife, Gaby Juergens. One dollar from each Homefront Girl candle sold (up to $75,000) will support Homes for Our Troops, a military charity that provides mortgage-free, specially adapted homes nationwide for severely injured veterans post 9/11, enabling them to rebuild their lives, said the company.
“A ‘homefront girl’ is someone who exemplifies the courage and strength of a nation,” said Gaby Juergens, artist and creator of the Homefront Girl brand. “I created this collection to pay tribute to the families who are sharing their hero with the world and to the incredible sisterhood of women who support our men and women in uniform every day.”
According to the company, each of the new fragrances offers consumers the chance to salute our country’s military in a unique way. The candles in the new line express different military-themed sentiments including Love My Hero, Gratitude Never Out of Style and Support Our Troops. The collection is available for purchase now at Yankee Candle’s more than 500 retail stores, www.yankeecandle.com and select specialty retailers and gift shops while supplies last.
