The Cosmetic Ingredients Division of Symrise has strengthened its sales force to deliver tailored services to its European customers. Andreas R. Hofmann was assigned the position of Regional Sales Director Cosmetic Ingredients. Marie-Laure Roumiguière assumed the position as Head of Global Account Management EAME. Both build on long-standing experience from positions within the industry.
The market for cosmetic applications, skin and personal care, UV protection, oral care and the fragrance industry has increased in complexity. So have the customer structures in this segment. Symrise is therefore reinforcing its strategic sales positions in EAME with two experts to service its customers with a targeted approach.
Hofmann was assigned to the newly created position as Regional Sales Director Cosmetic Ingredients. In his responsibility, he will manage strategy, turnover, growth and success with Cosmetic Ingredients customers in Germany, Austria, Swiss, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and Benelux. He will be reporting to Dr. Daniel Ibarra, Vice President EAME Cosmetic Ingredients Division.
After having obtained his diploma in Business Chemistry with focus in organic chemistry and innovation research, Hofmann started his professional career with Beiersdorf AG in Hamburg. During his 7 and a half years with the company, he held various positions in Basic Development as Technology Manager, in Raw Materials Management/Purchasing being responsible for the categories actives, extracts, UV filters and toll manufacturing, as well as Supply Chain Customer Manager in the Key Account Management for Tesco and Walmart.
Hofmann has joined Symrise after working at the German biochemical company Pharma Waldhof GmbH acting in the pharmaceutical industry with location in Düsseldorf. As Director Supply Chain Management, he was responsible for leading and coordinating the purchasing and planning department as well as logistics and warehousing.
Roumiguière assumed the also newly created position as Head of Global Account Management EAME for the Symrise Cosmetic Ingredients Division. She is based in Paris and also reports to Dr. Daniel Ibarra, Vice President EAME Cosmetic Ingredients Division. She holds a degree in chemistry and formulations and has a strong background in the cosmetic market within the B-to-B ingredients business. She pursued different roles as Business Development Manager for Pharma & Personal Care at Cargill where she led the category and some key projects with major players in the industry. Prior to joining Cargill, she worked with IMCD as Commercial Manager of the Pharmaceutical & Personal Care business unit for 10 years.
In her role as Head of Global Account Management EAME, Roumiguière will be in charge for the overall Global Account Strategy in EAME as well as global roll out of EAME based Global Account decisions and actions.
