Keep calm and carry on. That's the message from CONUSBAT, the international regulation consultancy. CONUSBAT notes that the Referendum’s outcome will have little if any bearing on several important pieces of EU legislations affecting the cosmetic, personal care and fine chemical sectors, including:
• Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 - EU REACH;
• Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 on Cosmetic Products marketed in the EU; and
• Animal Test Ban: part of the Regulation (EC) 1223/2009
Still, Brexit underscores the fact that companies are operating in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous atmosphere. After all, following the Brexit vote, Scotland is considering leaving the United Kingdom, and the UK may remain a member of the European Economic Area.
