Redken 5th Avenue named model, DJ and hair color chameleon Chloe Nørgaard as its newest brand muse.
For Chloe’s Redken debut, Redken Artist Justin Isaac gave her a bold turquoise blue using new City Beats, Redken’s first-ever vibrant haircolor launching in October 2016. Available in 12 shades plus Clear, each City Beats shade is inspired by an iconic New York City neighborhood or familiar sight around the city. The semi-permanent cream formula conditions and seals the cuticle for true-to-tone results that last up to 12 shampoos, with no developer required.
“I love to play with color,” she said. “I change my haircolor whenever I want, depending on my mood, the seasons, my outfit, whatever. I’m a rainbow child!”
Redken is also set to debut the Heatcure salon hair repair system. The two-part method begins with the new Heatcure Professional Formula, which features a heat-activated delivery system of a unique combination of proteins including arginine, soy, sepicap, wheat and palm oils. These ingredients liquefy and penetrate up to the cortex of the hair with the use of a Heatcure Professional Tool.
Follow the service with the new Heatcure At-Home self-heating treatment masks on a weekly basis. The Heatcure At-Home self-heating treatment mask sells for $25 and is only available at authorized Redken salons nationwide as well as Ulta.
In other news, the brand is also rolling out Root Fusion, a single-use kit that is only available when prescribed by a professional during an in-salon haircolor service. The kit includes one set of gloves, an easy-to-follow instruction sheet, the low-ammonia Professional Root Retouch color prescribed by the colorist, developer, one professional grade brush and a mixing bowl. Each of the 27 Root Fusion shades match all of Redken’s permanent color brands, including ColorFusion, Color Gels and Chromatics.
