NWQ sold the 2,590,623 Elizabeth Arden shares that remained in its portfolio after selling nearly 2.2 million shares in two separate transactions earlier this year. NWQ sold 62,904 shares in the first quarter and 2,131,274 shares in the second quarter.
That move followed Elizabeth Arden's announcement that it had a loss of $23.1 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.The Miramar, Florida-based company said it had a loss of 79 cents per share.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $71.8 million, or $2.49 per share. Revenue was reported as $966.7 million, a decline of less than 1%. As previously reported, Revlon is purchasing Elizabeth Arden for $870 million. Elizabeth Arden's shares have increased 41% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $13.95, a rise of 45% in the past 12 months.
