The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced today that it will hold a public meeting on May 25 to receive input on topics pertaining to the regulation of cosmetics to help the agency prepare for the International Cooperation on Cosmetics Regulation-11 (July 12-14, 2017) in Brasilia, Brazil. The public meeting (2-4pm) will be held at the Harvey W. Wiley Federal Building in College Park, MD.
The closing date to register for attendance or to request to make an oral presentation regrding ICCR-11 is May 11.
ICCR is a voluntary international group of cosmetics regulatory authorities from Brazil, Canada, the European Union, Japan, and the US. The ICCR members work together to make decisions through consensus that will be compatible with the laws, policies, rules, regulations and directives of the respective administrations and governments. The FDA encourages members of the public to present proposals for future ICCR agenda items and/or data, information, or views on pending issues orally or in writing at the public meeting.
