At the 142nd meeting of the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel, held April 10-11, 2017, final safety assessments and other news was unveiled. Here’s a peek at the findings:

·Acryloyldimethyltaurate polymers – 21 ingredients
·Butyl Polyoxyalkylene Ethers – 46 ingredients
·Etidronic acid and its salts – 4 ingredients
·Hydrofluorocarbon 152a – 1 ingredient
·Rosa canina-derived ingredients – 12 ingredients
 
Tentative Safety Assessments
·Alkane diols – 10 ingredients
·Butyrospermum parkii (shea)-derived ingredients – 13 ingredients
·Humulus lupulus (hops) extract and oil – 2 ingredients
·Bovine milk proteins and protein derivatives – 16 ingredients
·Polyurethanes – 66 ingredients

Lard and lard-derived ingredients – not reopened
 
Insufficient Data Announcement
