Shin-Etsu Silicones' TSPL-30-ID Film Former has a wide range of cosmetics applications. The patented TSPL-30-ID—Isododecane (and) trimethylsiloxysiylcarbamoyl pullulan (TSPL)—offers formulators simultaneous properties engineered to achieve anti-transfer benefits for long wear lip applications, comfort, and a non-tacky feel without compromising the adhesion properties, according to the company. Siliconization of the pullulan polymer gives the film-former excellent water repellency and oil repellency, and at the same time, imparts outstanding permeability to moisture and oxygen, which are believed to enhance skin health and comfort, according to the company.
