With their game rooms, free food, flex hours and soaring stock prices, it's no surprise that tech companies dominate Indeed's 2017 Best Places to Work list. Among the top 50 companies are several in the household and personal products industry and some of those entries are sure to raise an eyebrow or two.
Johnson & Johnson was ranked No. 14 and The Estée Lauder Companies came in at No. 21 and The Clorox Company was No. 37. Then things get interesting. L Brands, which has had a tough time finding its way in the brave new world of e-tailing, came in at No. 40. Embattled Avon, which has been in flux for years, and The Dow Chemical Company, which is in the midst of a huge merger with DuPont, tied at No. 46.
So, who's No. 1? Salesforce, followed by Southwest Airlines and Jetblue. Rounding out the top 10 are Facebook, Google, CenterPoint Energy, DTE Energy, Nike and Apple (tie) and Walt Disney.
