Attention Startups! Johnson & Johnson wants to hear from you...right now! JPitch is aimed at startups with game-changing, transformative consumer innovation or technologies. Consumer manufacturers and suppliers are invited to submit their applications by Friday, September 29. Select companies will present novel ideas to industry expert panel live at In-Cosmetics North America and compete for a $5,000 prize. To apply to take part in JPitch, to view the terms & conditions, or for more information, visit www.in-cosmeticsnorthamerica.com/jpitch.
Following a similar format to the successful Johnson & Johnson Innovation Flash Cosmetics Pitch, which took place at this year’s In-Cosmetics Global meeting in London, JPitch invites early stage entrepreneurial companies or startups with game-changing, transformative consumer or beauty technology innovation from across the world to apply online. Shortlisted companies will be invited to pitch live at In-Cosmetics North America to an executive panel of judges from Johnson & Johnson Innovation’s team of R&D and business experts.
The pitching initiative is specifically looking for innovations that fit into one of six categories: devices & diagnostics, personalization, therapeutics solutions, outdoor care (adult & infant), sleep aids or monitoring, microbiome (adult & infant) and active naturals (adult & infant). The startup that delivers the most scientifically impressive pitch, as judged by the executive panel, will be awarded a financial contribution of $5,000 and access to Johnson & Johnson Innovation experts.
“We’re thrilled to be launching the JPitch initiative at In-Cosmetics North America. It is based on a concept that worked extremely well at In-Cosmetics Global this year, so we are confident it will be equally successful," said Daniel Zanetti, exhibition director, In-Cosmetics North America. “Innovation truly is the backbone of the cosmetics and personal care industry. Without continued investment in new products, technologies and services the sector simply wouldn’t survive. Our aim with JPitch is to identify truly unique and inspirational innovation from all corners of the globe that will inspire a new generation of consumer products.”
